Happy Hour Meetup with iClick and Douyin: Influencer Marketing in China

In 2018, there were around 674 million social media users in China.* Despite Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter being blocked in the country, local social networking sites such as Tencent WeChat, RED and Douyin have been attracting millions of users, making China the world’s biggest social media market. iClick partnered with Douyin to gather some of the brightest experts on social marketing to discuss the rising trend of influencer marketing in China.

In the happy hour event “iClick Meetup: Influencer Marketing in China” we held earlier in Hong Kong, over 80 clients and partners joined us to exchange knowledge and discuss ideas about social marketing and KOL stratgety in China. Guest speakers from Douyin and its top KOL Jinx Yao shared their first-hand insights on Chinese social media landscape, trends and how to stand out in China’s oversaturated influencer economy. Our Business Development Director Cristina Ng shared experiences and practical tips on laying out brand strategies to activate social media presence and increase visibility in China via deeper and smarter collaboration with KOLs.
