Shell is well-known energy and petrochemical company offering fuel and lubricant products with more than 200+ distributors and 5000+ stores in China market. With strong presence offline, Shell wanted to further take advantage of booming online channel orchestrating seamless omnichannel experiences to fuel sales growth and optimize customer experiences throughout consumer journey. Partnering with iClick, Shell has made strategic transformation from highly reliance on offline channels to digitalized operation on WeChat mini-program and WeCom on Tencent ecosystem.

Solution

Leveraging the power of WeChat mini-program, iClick has successfully helped Shell to create ecommerce store to sell petrochemicals products with appealing and easy-to-use interface. Diverse promotion activities such as group buying, flash sales, red packet are implemented to generate sales conversions. In addition, a smart retail service mini-program is also built to streamline the offline vehicle service booking process in just few clicks and drive O2O synergy.

WeCom is employed enabling Shell to boost internal operation efficiency with intelligent automation tools and maintain customer relationship under centralized management. Staff use WeCom to communicate and engage with customers for upselling vehicle examination and maintenance service. Management is able to get holistic overviews of sales performances and order status, so thus make business decision promptly.
